One of Miami\u2019s buzziest food events is heading back to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/miami\/design-district-and-wynwood\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wynwood<\/a> this spring\u2014and it\u2019s bringing a full-on block party with it.<\/p>\n<p>After drawing thousands of attendees in L.A. and New York, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.familystylefest.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Complex Family Style Food Festival<\/a> returns to the open-air grounds of the Mana Wynwood Convention Center on May 2. Since its founding in 2019, the festival has built a reputation for turning a standard food fest into something closer to a cultural mash-up with art installations, merch drops and chef collabs all in the mix.<\/p>\n<p>Family Style is best known for pairing big-name restaurants with streetwear brands to create one-off collaborations you\u00a0can eat (or wear). Ultimately, that\u2019s been a winning formula\u2014it turns out that the festival\u2019s crowds are just as interested in what\u2019s on the grill as what\u2019s dropping at the merch booth.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s Miami lineup brings in vendors like Double Luck Chinese, Ted\u2019s Burgers, Tina in the Gables, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/miami\/restaurants\/pari-pari\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pari Pari<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/miami\/restaurants\/best-tacos-miami\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Wolf of Tacos<\/a> and El Bori, along with other local favorites and some out-of-town names. The draw isn\u2019t just the food itself, but also the exclusivity given that many of the dishes and collabs are created specifically for the festival that won\u2019t show up anywhere else.\u00a0The retail side of the event also turns the day into a sort of treasure hunt.
