TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A man accused of committing three murders in Leon County and Valdosta<\/a> earlier this year could now face the death penalty if convicted, according to court records.<\/p>\n

Flay Rollins was indicted Tuesday<\/a> on two counts of first-degree murder, a new charge of unlawful killing of an unborn child and firearm possession by a convicted felon in connection to the string of murders that occurred in January.<\/p>\n

Rollins was arrested after allegedly killing two women in Leon County, Sheena Kenon<\/a> and Otica Williams<\/a>, who was pregnant at the time of her death. He\u2019s also accused of shooting and killing his co-worker, Walter Pettiford<\/a>, in Valdosta. Investigators believe all of the murders happened within 24 to 48 hours. <\/p>\n

Just one day after Rollins\u2019 indictment, the state filed a notice of intent to seek the death penalty. <\/p>\n

Court documents obtained by WCTV Thursday reveal that prosecutors intend to prove the following circumstances: Rollins was \u201cpreviously convicted of another capital felony or of a felony involving the use or threat of violence to the person,\u201d \u201cthe capital felony was heinous, atrocious or cruel\u201d and that the felony was a homicide, committed in a \u201ccold, calculated and premeditated manner without any pretense of moral or legal justification,\u201d according to the document.<\/p>\n

State Attorney Jack Campbell confirmed to WCTV earlier this year<\/a> that Rollins was out on bond awaiting trial for another attempted murder when he allegedly killed Kenon, Williams, her unborn child, and Pettiford.<\/p>\n

Rollins is scheduled to be arraigned in Leon County next Monday.<\/p>\n
