Eight years after \u201cThe Eighth Voyage of Sindbad\u201d closed, Universal is finally gearing up to build something new at the Lost Continent theater.<\/p>\n

Eighth Voyage of Sindbad Theater Construction Walls\"Eighth<\/a><\/p>\n

The theater is now fully blocked by construction walls decorated with some mystical symbols. These are themed to the Lost Continent, not a potential new attraction or land.<\/p>\n

The walls block views of the theater while planters sit in front of the main entrance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Eighth Voyage of Sindbad\u201d closed permanently in 2018 but the theater and sets stayed standing in full view of guests. The theater was even used as a U-Rest area<\/a> and Cool Zone<\/a>. Despite some construction walls going up<\/a> around the theater in 2022, there have been no signs of construction until now.<\/p>\n

\"Lost<\/a><\/p>\n

The last remaining Lost Continent attraction is the talking Mystic Fountain<\/a> outside the theater.<\/p>\n

Last fall, Universal Orlando Resort confirmed upcoming \u201cconstruction activity\u201d in Lost Continent<\/a> as part of site planning to ensure the area is ready for any future developments. Trees were cleared<\/a> around the land.<\/p>\n

Construction walls have gone up and down<\/a> at the exit of Poseidon\u2019s Fury, which closed permanently<\/a> in early 2023. Water was drained from outside<\/a> the defunct attraction.<\/p>\n

The bridge connecting Lost Continent and Seuss Landing<\/a> was refurbished over the past few months.<\/p>\n

Lost Continent was partially demolished and taken over by The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in 2010. Its former coasters, Dueling Dragons and Flying Unicorn, were turned into Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff, respectively. Dragon Challenge closed permanently in 2017 and was replaced by Hagrid\u2019s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.<\/p>\n
