TALLAHASSEE \u2013 The No. 15\/23 Florida State track and field teams are set to split between two meets this weekend, with distance events taking place at the Stanford Invite while jumps, sprints and throws will compete at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville.<\/p>\n
The first USTFCCCA rankings came out for the 2026 outdoor season Tuesday, placing the Seminole men at No. 15, while the women checked at No. 23.<\/p>\n
At the Florida Relays, the 2025 ACC Outdoor 110-meter hurdles champion\u00a0Andre Korbmacher<\/a>\u00a0placed sixth overall with the fifth-fastest time in program history at 13.52 last season.\u00a0Zach Extine<\/a>, runner-up in the event last year at the outdoor National Championship, will also compete alongside Korbmacher and fifth-year\u00a0Tyson Williams<\/a>.<\/p>\n Braeden Ofosu-Kwarteng<\/a> is set to open his outdoor season in the 400. Ofosu-Kwarteng currently holds the ninth-fastest time in program history in the indoor 400 after recording a time of 46.53 at the Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational. The transfer also helped the men’s 4×400 to the second-fastest time in FSU history at 3:05.18 to conclude the meet.<\/p>\n At the Stanford Invite,\u00a0Bieke Schipperen<\/a>\u00a0will compete in her first ever women’s 10,000 alongside freshman\u00a0Rylee Blade<\/a>. Blade competed at the Terry Long FSU Relays in the women’s 1,500, leading the competition to finish first with a time of 4:22.07.<\/p>\n Live results for both meets will be available on Seminoles.com.<\/p>\n Last time out: Shamar Reid<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Alexa Schwartz<\/a>\u00a0were named ACC Performers of the Week for their efforts. Schwartz was named the Rookie of the Week to become the first person in program history to receive the award on the women’s side, while Reid earned the Men’s Field Athlete of the Week.<\/p>\n Coming off a fresh ACC indoor title, Reid opened the outdoor season with a win in the men’s discus for a new personal-best and second-furthest throw in program history at 63.68 meters. The Jamaican native’s mark ranks second in the NCAA and first in the ACC this season.<\/p>\n Schwartz was victorious in the women’s javelin, leading the field in all six attempts. The Florida native sealed the victory with a final throw of 55.17 meters, marking the third-farthest mark in FSU history and the top throw in the ACC this season.<\/p>\n Despiro Wray<\/a>\u00a0earned his first collegiate victory after placing first overall in the men’s shot put with the 10th-farthest throw in program history at 18.25m.\u00a0Reid followed in second at 18.16m.<\/p>\n Kaitlyn Bullock<\/a>\u00a0competed in the women’s discus throw with a top-three finish, placing third overall with a mark of 49.77 meters. Bullock’s mark ranks as the 10th-farthest throw in program history.\u00a0Zianna Curtis<\/a>\u00a0finished in fourth at 46.57.<\/p>\n The Seminoles took the top two spots in the women’s shot put, after\u00a0Nafy Thiam<\/a>\u00a0who holds the second-farthest throw in indoor history placed first overall at 16.82m. Thiam’s mark ranks third in program history, while Bullock finished second at 14.58m.<\/p>\n Florida State took the top six spots in the women’s 800 with\u00a0Suus Altorf<\/a>\u00a0leading the way with a time of 2:04.62.\u00a0Leah Taylor<\/a>\u00a0followed in second with a new personal best and eighth-fastest time in program history at 2:04.67.\u00a0Nicole Dinan<\/a>\u00a0added a personal best and third place finish at 2:07.97.<\/p>\n Lindy White<\/a>\u00a0crossed the line in second with a personal-best time of 4:28.42 in the women’s 1,500.
