DORAL, Fla. \u2014 Police in South Florida are searching for a man accused of helping to steal nearly $2 million in iPhones.<\/p>\n
Doral police are searching for Robert Soto in connection with the theft of nearly $2 million in Apple products from a South Florida FedEx facility. <\/p>\n
Investigators say Soto allegedly impersonated a business owner to gain access to the building and remove the electronics.<\/p>\n
The theft involved a large quantity of iPhones and iPads that were being loaded into a U-Haul vehicle.<\/p>\n
While one suspect, Jeffrey Moore, was arrested at the scene, Soto managed to evade capture after the facility\u2019s owner noticed the suspicious activity and contacted authorities.<\/p>\n
Soto allegedly gained access to the building by convincing staff he was the owner of a logistics company.<\/p>\n
Based on this claim, he was allowed to carry out several boxes of merchandise from the facility without being challenged.<\/p>\n
Investigators determined that Soto and Moore were working together to load the stolen goods into a U-Haul vehicle parked at the site. <\/p>\n
Soto managed to flee the area before police arrived. <\/p>\n
