{"id":217580,"date":"2026-04-03T15:02:23","date_gmt":"2026-04-03T15:02:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/217580\/"},"modified":"2026-04-03T15:02:23","modified_gmt":"2026-04-03T15:02:23","slug":"pinellas-county-deputy-suffers-skull-fractures-after-getting-hit-by-car-in-seminole","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/217580\/","title":{"rendered":"Pinellas County deputy suffers skull fractures after getting hit by car in Seminole"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 37-year-old driver said she was hindered by another car&#8217;s high beams and did not see   Deputy Jason Anderson standing on the edge of the road.<\/p>\n<p>SEMINOLE, Fla. \u2014 The Pinellas County Sheriff&#8217;s Office has released new details about a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wtsp.com\/article\/news\/local\/pinellascounty\/deputy-hit-by-car-pinellas-county\/67-87ed0599-fefd-4c23-997f-808595ca4495\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">deputy who was hit by a car on Thursday night in Seminole.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Investigators said it happened around 9:45 p.m., when a 37-year-old woman was driving northbound on 104th Street in a 2010 Ford Fusion.<\/p>\n<p>She told investigators that as she approached 106th Terrace, the high beams on a car in the southbound lane hindered her view of the 37-year-old Deputy Jason Anderson, who was standing on the edge of the road for an unrelated call.<\/p>\n<p>The woman hit Deputy Anderson with the front passenger-side fender of her car, causing him to be thrown to the ground, according to the sheriff&#8217;s office.<\/p>\n<p>Anderson was transported to the hospital, where he remains stable with two skull fractures, a fractured wrist and lacerations to his face.<\/p>\n<p>The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
