He completed 17 of 30 passes for 128 yards, was intercepted once and sacked twice in his NFL debut. His interception was a pass that was in the hands of receiver Chris Olave, but wrestled away by Bucs safety Antoine Winfield.

“We just needed to find a way to create something on offense,” Moore said. “It has more to do with the offense collectively. We’re just not executing and playing at a high enough standard and we’ve got to find a way to move the football consistently, protect the football and score points. This is a pure, full offensive evaluation point. We’re not there.

“I think we’ve just got to evaluate this whole thing in the next 48 hours on offense, find the solutions that give us the best chance to win.”

The season-low scoring output for the Saints (1-7) had been 13 points, which they’d twice been limited to, before they were kept out of the end zone Sunday.

Rattler, prior to the current six-turnovers-in-seven-quarters stretch, had turned over the ball once in the first six games.

“It’s part of the game,” Rattler said of the change. “I understand. You can’t control everything but I’m going to be a great teammate and respond the right way. Be a pro about it and help in any way I can.

“The last two weeks (with turnovers), I think last week (against Chicago) I started pressing. I don’t feel like I pressed at all this game. I think I got careless with keeping it high and tight on that first drive on the run, and then the tipped pick was unfortunate.”

Moore noted the positives that Rattler has provided for the bulk of the season.

“Spencer has done plenty of good this season when you look at it from a bigger perspective,” he said. “We need to find a way to get the thing going. That’s our project and that’s our efforts moving forward, is to find solutions moving forward.”

For Shough, it was a debut against a defense that has confounded many over the years.

Ratter and Shough battled for the starting position throughout the offseason, with Rattler emerging as the starter for…

[10
13608,8943,16994,135,137,136
0":"post-21762","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-tampa","8":"tag-2025-reg-week8","9":"tag-latest-news","10":"tag-news-john-deshazier","11":"tag-tampa","12":"tag-tampa-headlines","13":"tag-tampa-news
["GET
