They call them Prophet Passes because you’ll have to buy them blind with faith that you’ll enjoy the line-up when they eventually announce it, but you probably won’t have to wait too long to know who’s on the bill. 2025’s III Points was held on the same mid-October weekend, and they made their phase 1 lineup announcement on April 22. Among the musicians announced in that Phase 1 lineup last year were South Korean DJ producer Peggy Gou, hardcore punk act Turnstile, dancehall pop star Sean Paul, singer-songwriter Mk.gee, British tech-house producer Michael Bibi, and Nicolás Jaar and Dave Harrington’s side project Darkside. Previous III Points headliners have included everyone from Spanish flamenco-pop star Rosalía to French electronic duo Justice to American garage rockers the Strokes.

While prognosticators like to have fun guessing festival line-ups by looking at who is playing festivals at the same time of year. III Point’s October dates make that tougher as it’s a vacant time of year for music festivals. Last year, however, Turnstile did play early October’s Aftershock Festival in Sacramento before making the cross-country trek to III Points. While Aftershock is a rock-centric fest and III Points leans more on the artier sides of pop, electronic, and hip-hop, there are some potential acts I could see fitting in with III Points, with My Chemical Romance, Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, and III Points veterans Wu-Tang Clan playing Aftershock. Austin City Limits also takes place in early October and features Sabrina Carpenter, Wet Leg, Doechii, and Rainbow Kitten Surprise, all of whom have an III Points vibe.

But these are all wild guesses. For official announcements, we’ll have to be patient.

III Points. Friday, October 16, and Saturday, October 17, at Mana Wynwood, 2217 NW Fifth Ave., Miami; iiipoints.com.
