ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. \u2013 A good Samaritan who was ambushed and attacked while trying to help an apparent car crash victim believes the motorist wanted to take his life.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe kept saying, \u2018I\u2019m going to kill you! I\u2019m going to kill you!\u201d Hans Hamilton told News 6 in an exclusive interview about the violent altercation.<\/p>\n
Hamilton was driving north on the 429 Expressway near Walt Disney World on Monday when he noticed a white Lexus had crashed into a guardrail and a man lying in the grass nearby.<\/p>\n
\u201cI saw the body there and my immediate thought was he\u2019s dead,\u201d Hamilton told News 6. \u201cSo I rolled down my window and said, \u2018Hey, are you okay?\u2019 No response.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moments later, video captured by cameras on Hamilton\u2019s Tesla shows the apparent car crash victim quickly standing up and running towards the Good Samaritan\u2019s vehicle.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe got up once he heard my door close,\u201d said Hamilton. \u201cHe was waiting for that door to close, and that\u2019s when he pounced, and it just happened. I was just stunned.\u201d <\/p>\n
Videos show the man climbing on the Tesla\u2019s hood and roof, shattering the windshield, and then tackling Hamilton as he tried to get back in his car.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter he jumped on top of me, I have very little recollection,\u201d said Hamilton. \u201cAll I kept thinking was, \u2018You\u2019re not going kill me. Fight, fight, flight!\u2019 Nothing else.\u201d<\/p>\n
For nearly 30 seconds, videos show the man repeatedly punching Hamilton in the head, face, neck and back.<\/p>\n
The good Samaritan believes he was able to subdue the attacker by hitting him in the throat.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was nailing that jugular as hard as I could, as many times as I could,\u201d said Hamilton. \u201cClearly, I got up. And clearly he didn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n
When an Orange County deputy arrived, Hamilton said he and another bystander helped hold the man on the ground while the deputy handcuffed him.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wish that cop would have shot him,\u201d Hamilton said. \u201cThat man was trying to kill me. He just did not succeed.\u201d<\/p>\n
Deputies identified the attacker as 44-year-old Daniel Coman.<\/p>\n
Coman was arrested on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer with violence, assault on a law enforcement officer, battery and criminal mischief.<\/p>\n
Hamilton believes prosecutors should charge Coman with attempted murder.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn my mind, you don\u2019t beat somebody like that without the intention of killing them,\u201d Hamilton said.<\/p>\n
The Orange County Sheriff\u2019s Office initially requested that Coman be held in jail without bond.<\/p>\n
During Coman\u2019s initial court hearing, which records show he did not attend because he was in the hospital, Circuit Court Judge Barbara Leach set bond at $5,000.<\/p>\n
The judge also ordered Coman to have no contact with Hamilton.<\/p>\n
A transcript of the hearing was not immediately available.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson for Orange-Osceola State Attorney Monique Worrell did not respond to an email from News 6 on Friday inquiring whether prosecutors requested a higher bond for Coman during that initial court hearing.<\/p>\n
Representatives for Orange County Sheriff John Mina did not respond to an email from News 6 asking if the agency had concerns about the bond amount set by the judge.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m terrified,\u201d said Coman, who believes Coman\u2019s bond amount is too low. \u201cI don\u2019t feel safe.\u201d<\/p>\n
Coman remained in jail Friday afternoon, records show.<\/p>\n
Hamilton was taken to a hospital after the attack, where he said he was treated for a brain bleed and four broken ribs.<\/p>\n
