Aldi<\/a>\u00a0will open a new store in Sebastian on April 23,\u00a0replacing the former Winn-Dixie\u00a0at\u00a0995 Sebastian Blvd.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Sebastian Aldi grocery store was added to the chain’s\u00a0list of Florida locations<\/a>. This is the first Aldi in Sebastian and the second in Indian River County, after the Vero Beach store<\/a> opened in March.<\/p>\n

The store is expected to open April 23, according to an Aldi spokesperson. The time of the official ribbon cutting has not been released yet.<\/p>\n

Here’s where other Winn-Dixie conversions are happening on the Treasure Coast:<\/p>\n

Hobe Sound:\u00a08867 S.E. Bridge Road, conversion began in November.<\/p>\n

Fort Pierce:\u00a04870 N. Kings Highway, it’s unclear when it will reopen as an Aldi.<\/p>\n

Existing Aldis on the Treasure CoastWhy is Winn-Dixie converting to Aldi?<\/p>\n

Aldi announced in 2023 it would acquire\u00a0Southeastern Grocers.<\/a>\u00a0The deal finalized in 2024 outlined how Aldi would convert nearly 400 Winn-Dixie grocery stores and Harveys Supermarkets into Aldis.<\/p>\n

In February, a consortium of private investors acquired\u00a0Southeastern Grocers<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 and its Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket brands \u2014 from Aldi.<\/p>\n
