TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Tallahassee Police are mourning the loss of Officer Michael \u201cCody\u201d Terranova, who died in an off-duty boating accident Friday evening, according to a TPD social post.<\/p>\n
The department said Terranova joined the police department in 2007.<\/p>\n
Chief Lawrence Revell said it\u2019s a tough time for the department and the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, we are mourning the loss of Officer Terranova, a member of our department who meant a great deal to all who knew and served alongside him,\u201d Revell.<\/p>\n
This is a difficult time for our agency, and our focus is on supporting his family, friends, and our personnel as we work through this loss together. We ask our community to keep everyone affected in their thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.<\/p>\n
Tallahassee Police said they are providing resources to family, friends and the TPD community affected. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe ask for your prayers for the family and everyone that knew him, and extend grace as we all navigate the days ahead,\u201d the department said.<\/p>\n
