ORLANDO, Fla. (April 3, 2026) \u2013\u00a0A dramatic\u00a0pair\u00a0of\u00a0late\u00a0goals\u00a0from captain Haley McCutcheon lifted the\u00a0Orlando Pride (2-1-2, 8 points)\u00a0to a 2-1 victory over Angel City FC (3-1-0, 9 points) at\u00a0Inter&Co\u00a0Stadium on Friday night. The result extended Orlando\u2019s unbeaten streak to four matches\u00a0as\u00a0they head into an international break.<\/p>\n
After a pair of disallowed goals, the Pride finally broke the deadlock in the 84th\u00a0minute. Hannah Anderson found Barbra Banda on the left wing who took on her defender and delivered a low cross that, after a couple of deflections, fell kindly to McCutcheon for a finish into an open net to give Orlando the\u00a01-0\u00a0lead.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Defender Gisele Thompson\u00a0leveled\u00a0the match in the\u00a0second minute of stoppage time, before\u00a0McCutcheon would once again come up clutch for the Pride,\u00a0scoring the game-winning goal in the 98th\u00a0minute. A corner whipped in by Marta rebounded off multiple bodies in the box and fell once more for the Pride\u2019s captain to poke\u00a0the ball into the net and\u00a0ensure a\u00a0victory\u00a0for Orlando.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The late strike\u00a0marked McCutcheon\u2019s first career brace and the\u00a0fourth\u00a0game-winning goal of her career\u00a0across all competitions, also standing as the latest game-winning goal this season.\u00a0McCutcheon now has nine goals\u00a0across all competitions\u00a0in her Pride\u00a0career,\u00a0which is\u00a0tied\u00a0for sixth most in Club history alongside former Pride\u00a0player Ally Watt.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Pride defense held firm all night only allowing one shot on goal,\u00a0which\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0come until the 92nd minute of the match. With the win, goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse now has 40 career victories, becoming just the 10th goalkeeper in NWSL history to\u00a0achieve\u00a0the mark.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Pride will now head into the international break\u00a0riding a\u00a0four-game\u00a0unbeaten streak and will return to action on Friday, April 24, as they get set to take on Racing Louisville at Lynn Family Stadium. That match is set to kick off at\u00a05:30 p.m. ET on Victory+.<\/p>\n
