JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 UPDATE 12 p.m., 4\/2\/26: Four San Pablo Elementary School kindergarten students have been taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries after a traffic accident involving a school bus and a tractor trailer Thursday morning<\/p>\n
The principal of the school and the schools police chief are at the accident location in the 1500 block of Zoo Parkway to reunite children with their parents\/guardians, according to Duval County Public Schools.<\/p>\n
Parents were sent the following message from school officials:<\/p>\n
Hello San Pablo kindergarten families. This is Duval County Public Schools with important information. One of the buses transporting kindergarten students to the zoo from San Pablo this morning was involved in an accident, and at least three students sustained injuries. We are in direct contact with the families of those students. Again, we are in direct contact with the families of the students who sustained injuries. All other students are safe, and school staff are on site with them. We are continuing to gather more information and will provide updates as soon as possible. Please stand by for additional details regarding a student pick-up plan.<\/p>\n
