TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The 57th Annual Myers Park Easter Egg Hunt took place Saturday afternoon, drawing more than 3,000 participants, according to organizers.<\/p>\n
Organizers say more than 30,000 eggs, filled with candy and toys, were hidden throughout the park, including special golden eggs with prizes. <\/p>\n
Children in age groups from 0 to 2, as well as those aged 9 and 10, took part in the festivities. Organizers say they look forward to hosting the event each year to bring the community together and celebrate the Easter spirit.<\/p>\n

Superintendent of the Special Events Division for the City of Tallahassee, Mario Palmentieri, said she was grateful for the turnout.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a great fun day, the people, we have bounce houses, we usually have crafts for people to do, some face painting some years, depends on the year,\u201d Palmentieri said. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re just thankful the community comes out and supports us on these events.\u201d<\/p>\n
Organizers also held a special Easter egg hunt earlier that morning for children with sensory and visual impairments, featuring beeping and adapted eggs. They say more than 100 people attended that event.<\/p>\n
