Most of these communities are coastal, directly facing sea-level rise, damaging hurricanes and sunny day flooding.<\/p>\n<p>But a bill that passed Florida\u2019s Legislature and is expected to be signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis would impose a sweeping ban on limiting greenhouse gases \u2014 a move some local governments say could undo years of progress.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wish Tallahassee would let us do the business of running government,\u201d said Raquel Regalado, a Republican Miami-Dade County commissioner. \u201cOn an election year, I\u2019m not surprised that there\u2019s a net-zero bill that\u2019ll be signed.
