FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. (WINK)\u2014Lynn Hall Memorial Park will close to the public starting Monday for ongoing construction related to Hurricane Ian recovery efforts.<\/p>\n
The park will undergo repairs and enhancements, including upgrades to ADA-accessible boardwalks, picnic shelters, landscaping, lighting and signage, according to a press release. An elevated restroom facility will also be constructed to improve accessibility and visitor experience.<\/p>\n
The project is expected to be completed in early summer 2027. During construction, portable restroom facilities and a pedestrian access walkway will remain open on the west end of the park.<\/p>\n
The park and its parking lot will be closed. Visitors are encouraged to use alternative parking at Bowditch Point Park, where parking fees are $2 per hour.<\/p>\n
Patrons can also use the Beach Park & Ride located at 11101 Summerlin Square Drive, which offers more than 125 free parking spaces with bus service to the beach.<\/p>\n
