According to arrest documents, Karen Baggett is accused of taking four checks from the victim and depositing them into her bank account. <\/p>\n

The victim contacted law enforcement in January claiming checks sent by her mother for Christmas were stolen. She later told investigators that she believed her neighbor was involved, according to arrest papers. <\/p>\n
During the investigation, detectives determined the checks were signed on the back with Baggett\u2019s signature. <\/p>\n

In total, Baggett is accused of cashing three of the four checks worth $300. The fourth check had not been deposited.<\/p>\n
According to arrest documents, Baggett has two prior theft convictions in Leon and Wakulla County.<\/p>\n
Baggett is charged with three counts of bank fraud, three counts of uttering forged instruments and mail theft.<\/p>\n
