THAT\u2019S RIGHT. OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS, SOME AREAS COULD EASILY PICK UP 3 TO 5IN OF RAIN, ESPECIALLY ALONG THE COASTLINES. IT\u2019S ALL THANKS TO THIS FRONTAL SYSTEM, AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE THAT\u2019S GOING TO MOVE THROUGH. SO OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS, YOU SEE THE HIGHEST RAIN. CHANCES ARE GOING TO BE MOSTLY I4 ON EASTWARD, BUT EVERYONE\u2019S GOING TO GET A LITTLE BIT OF SOMETHING OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS, AND WE DESPERATELY NEED IT. ALL OF CENTRAL FLORIDA UNDER MODERATE TO EVEN EXTREME DROUGHT CONDITIONS. SO FLOOD THREAT, THE HIGHEST POTENTIAL WILL BE MOSTLY ALONG OUR COASTLINES THE NEXT THREE DAYS. YOU CAN SEE THE AREAS HIGHLIGHTED IN GREEN, A LEVEL ONE OUT OF FOUR RISK FOR SOME FLOODING. MOSTLY TODAY, TOMORROW AND WEDNESDAY, AND ALSO THURSDAY AS WELL. THE CULPRIT BEHIND ALL THIS, THIS COLD FRONT THAT\u2019S ACTUALLY RIGHT ON OUR DOORSTEP. THIS WILL BE PUSHING THROUGH CENTRAL FLORIDA AS WE GO THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. AND THEN THIS FRONTAL SYSTEM ESSENTIALLY STALLS OUT AND AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPS ALONG IT. AND THAT\u2019S WHAT\u2019S GOING TO KEEP OUR RAIN CHANCES AROUND ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK. LIVE. LOOK AT OUR FIRST WARNING RADAR. YOU SEE A COUPLE SHOWERS ALREADY STARTING TO POP UP ALONG THE SPACE COAST THIS AFTERNOON. YOU CAN SEE TITUSVILLE GETTING IN SOME RAIN AS WELL AS PORT SAINT JOHN. WE\u2019RE ALSO GETTING IN SOME RAIN SHOWERS RIGHT NOW NEAR PALM BAY AND FLORIDA BEACH THIS AFTERNOON. BUT BOY, IS THAT RAIN COVERAGE GOING TO INCREASE SIGNIFICANTLY AS WE GO TO AROUND 4 OR 5:00 THIS AFTERNOON ON FUTURECAST, AROUND 2 TO 3:00. SCATTERED SHOWERS AROUND, ESPECIALLY I-4 ON EASTWARD AND THEN NOTICE AROUND FIVE, SIX, 7:00. SOME OF THOSE THUNDERSTORMS COULD BE HEAVY AT TIMES, ESPECIALLY ALONG OUR COASTLINES. SO THAT\u2019S WHY WE DO HAVE A 70% CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE FORECAST TODAY. AND NOTICE AS WE GO INTO AFTER SUNSET, STILL SOME LINGERING THUNDERSTORMS AROUND. SO BREAKING DOWN YOUR 12 HOUR FORECAST, IT WILL BE A WARM DAY BEFORE THAT COLD FRONT ARRIVES. WILL TOP OUT RIGHT AROUND 83 THIS AFTERNOON. THEN RAIN COVERAGE PICKS UP SIGNIFICANTLY THIS EVENING AS THAT FRONTAL SYSTEM MOVES RIGHT OVER US. AND WE\u2019LL SEE SOME LINGERING RAIN AROUND EVEN AFTER SUNSET TONIGHT. BUT THEN LOOKING AHEAD FOR TOMORROW, THAT RAIN, IT STICKS AROUND. HERE\u2019S A LOOK AT TUESDAY MORNING AROUND 730 IN THE MORNING. YOU\u2019LL NEED TO GRAB THOSE UMBRELLAS AS YOU HEAD OUT THE DOOR. DOING THAT MORNING DROP OFF, AND THEN THE AFTERNOON DROP OFF. PRETTY MUCH THE SAME. LOOK AT THAT. NOTICE THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL I4 ON EASTWARD. AND THAT\u2019S BECAUSE WE\u2019RE EXPECTING THIS LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TO DEVELOP ALONG THAT FRONTAL BOUNDARY. AND THAT\u2019S GOING TO HELP ENHANCE THOSE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR THE EASTERN HALF OF THE PENINSULA. THEN AS WE GO INTO THE EVENING, YOU CAN SEE WE STILL ARE LOOKING AT SOME LINGERING SHOWERS AROUND. AND THEN AS WE GO INTO AROUND 9 TO 10:00 TOMORROW NIGHT, WE\u2019RE LOOKING AT MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES WITH SOME LIGHT SHOWERS. SO RAIN COVERAGE THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS WILL BE ON THE HIGHER SIDE.
