Key Biscayne will become a “very spooky” island come Halloween.<\/p>\n
Kids will be dressed up in their favorite costumes trick or treating, parents will be throwing Halloween parties inside their homes and Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, local businesses and the Village of Key Biscayne are also getting into the spooky spirit.<\/p>\n
From 6-9 p.m., on Halloween, Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park is hosting a Halloween Extravaganza called HOWL-O-WEEN at the Cleat, a dog costume contest by the water, with paws, claws and a few awws.<\/p>\n
Awards for best costumes include cutest monster, spookiest duo and audience favorite.<\/p>\n
Fifty percent of proceeds benefit Friends of Cape Florida, with the remaining 50 percent awarded as cash prizes to the winning pooches.<\/p>\n
A $20 registration fee is required.<\/p>\n
