Christopher Smith said police responded to a report of a person shot at approximately 4 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man in his late teens with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The sheriff&#8217;s office said he had life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">After an initial investigation, detectives determined that the shooting began when a homeowner reportedly walked in to find an intruder in his home and confronted him.
