\n\tRapper Offset<\/a> was shot outside a popular casino in Florida on Monday, according to multiple outlets.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe former member of Atlanta-based hip-hop trio Migos, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, his rep confirmed to Rolling Stone<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,\u201d the rep wrote in a statement. \u201cHe is stable and being closely monitored.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Seminole Police Department told The Hollywood Reporter that officers responded to \u201can incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAuthorities said the \u201csituation was contained quickly,\u201d and that two people have been detained by police in connection with the shooting.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal,\u201d the police department added in a statement.<\/p>\n

\n\tAdditional details surrounding what led to the shooting weren\u2019t immediately available. THR has reached out to the rapper\u2019s rep for more information.<\/p>\n

\n\tTakeoff, real name Kirsnick Khari Ball and who was another member of Migos, was fatally shot in November 2022<\/a>. Takeoff died at 28 after being killed outside a bowling alley in Houston. His death led to an international outpouring of grief. In May 2023, Patrick Xavier Clark was indicted by a grand jury for the murder of Takeoff. He is set to go on trial on Nov. 9, 2026<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tOffset rose to fame with Migos, which was formed in 2008 with Quavo and Takeoff. Hailing from Lawrenceville, Georgia, Migos had stratospheric success in the 2010s, becoming genuine pop culture phenomenons as well as one of the best-selling music groups of the decade. Their tracks \u201cVersace,\u201d \u201cMotorSport,\u201d \u201cStir Fry\u201d and \u201cWalk It Talk It\u201d became enduring hits with the Atlanta rap classic \u201cBad and Boujee\u201d topping the Billboard charts and propelling them to mainstream stardom.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough it was never officially announced, Migos was believed to have broken up by 2022. In October 2022, Quavo and Takeoff released an album without Offset titled Only Built for Infinity Links.<\/p>\n

\n\tPost-Migos, Offset found his own success as a solo artist, including with his hit songs \u201cRic Flair Drip,\u201d \u201cClout\u201d (feat. Cardi B) and \u201cSAY MY GRACE\u201d (feat. Travis Scott).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe rapper has six children, including two daughters and a son, with his estranged wife, rapper Cardi B.
