They skirted past the Hialeah Educational Academy Bulldogs<\/a> 6-4. That’s the second time they’ve managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-4 two weeks ago.<\/p>\n As for Hialeah Educational Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against iMater Charter since Monday.<\/p>\n For Hialeah Educational Academy’s part, Yan Carlos Godines<\/a> was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn’t allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. What’s more, Godines gave up only one walk, the fewest he’s had since back in March.<\/p>\n At the plate, Christopher Reyes<\/a> made the most of his time in the batter’s box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Vazquez<\/a>, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.<\/p>\n Looking ahead, iMater Charter will head out to face off against Braddock at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights’ pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Sports Leadership & Management at 6:00 p.m. Sports Leadership & Management has struggled to contain batters this season (they’ve allowed 12.7 runs per game on average), something Hialeah Educational Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.<\/p>\n
