TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Tallahassee Police identified the victim killed overnight Sunday inside a local sports bar<\/a> on Apalachee Parkway. <\/p>\n

Tevin Gaines, 32, was identified Tuesday by the police department as the man shot and killed inside Zingales Billiards & Sports Bar during what officers said was a \u201clarge physical altercation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, according to TPD. Officers arrived on the scene and found Gaines suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, officers said.<\/p>\n

Life-saving measures were attempted and Gaines was transported to a local hospital. However, the 32-year-old later died. <\/p>\n

As of Tuesday, police have not announced any arrests made in connection to the deadly shooting. <\/p>\n

\u201cAt this time, what we can say is that we are tracking down all leads,\u201d a TPD spokesperson told WCTV Tuesday morning. <\/p>\n

Just hours after the shooting occurred Sunday, the sports bar released a statement on social media, extending prayers to Gaines and his family. <\/p>\n

\u201cZingales billiards wanted to reach out to everyone and mention the events that happened last night, but we just don\u2019t have the words. After a senseless act of violence, a customer lost their life last night. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.”<\/p>\n

WCTV also spoke with a witness<\/a> who said she was still shaken up after the events transpired, describing the night as frightening.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe started hearing gunshots and me and my friend, we got separated once we heard the gunshots cause its flight, the first thing you\u2019re thinking is safety. A dude ended up grabbing me and told me get under the pool table, get under the pool table. I would\u2019ve never thought I\u2019d be in\u00a0this predicament. You supposed to have someone there checking for guns, checking for knives and weapons, but they wasn\u2019t doing that. I came in with my purse, and no one checked my purse.\u201d<\/p>\n
