Ron DeSantis, Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson\u00a0and Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia,\u00a0certified the results in a conference call.<\/p>\n<p>Democrat Brian Nathan, a U.S. Navy veteran from Tampa defeated former state Rep. Josie Tomkow, R-Polk City, for the Senate District 14 contest in Hillsborough County. Republican Hilary Holley won Tomkow\u2019s former District 51 seat.
