JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2013 News4JAX is learning more about a recent study<\/a> that found the shrimp you order off the menu at many local restaurants is being falsely represented as local. <\/p>\n

Researchers from SeaD Consulting say they discovered 57% of restaurants \u2018explicitly misrepresented\u2019 that they were serving local or American wild-caught shrimp, including shrimp marketed as iconic \u201cMayport Shrimp.\u201d <\/p>\n

Erin Williams, Founder and COO of SeaD Consulting sat down with Jennifer Waugh on News4JAX+ at 10 a.m. via Zoom to discuss the findings.<\/p>\n
