The overhead shot shows the green course and a Mickey-head shaped sand trap;\" class=\"wp-image-1408529\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition to announcing the closure, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfwdw.com\/blog-1\/438-walt-disney-world-golf-announces-upcoming-enhancements-at-disney-s-lake-buena-vista-golf-course\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" aria-describedby=\"external-link-warning\">Disney shared<\/a> the changes that will be coming to the golf course:<\/p>\n<p>Greens \u2013 Fully renovated with new contouring and elevations<\/p>\n<p>Green-side bunker and chipping area \u2013 Playability updates<\/p>\n<p>Irrigation systems \u2013 Upgraded around the greens to better maintain turf conditions in the surrounding chipping areas<\/p>\n<p>Bunker drainage systems \u2013 New systems to reduce water retention and improve playing conditions after rain<\/p>\n<p>Teeing grounds \u2013 Enhancements to several areas<\/p>\n<p>The news comes soon after the <a href=\"https:\/\/wdwnt.com\/2025\/03\/magnolia-golf-course-debuts-grumpys-gauntlet-more-disney-touches\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" aria-describedby=\"external-link-warning\">Magnolia Course reopened <\/a>after an extensive refurbishment, including reimagining several holes into a new \u201cGrumpy Gauntlet.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/wdwnt.com\/2025\/12\/walt-disney-world-golf-named-2026-resort-course-of-the-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" aria-describedby=\"external-link-warning\">Walt Disney World Golf <\/a>was also recognized as the 2026 NGCOA Resort Course of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>Disney\u2019s other golf courses \u2013 Magnolia, Palm, and Oak Trail \u2013 will remain open during the Lake Buena Vista closure.<\/p>\n<p>Will the closure impact your plans?
