SANFORD, Fla. \u2013 Seminole County on Monday opened sandbag sites out of an abundance of caution after nearly 20 inches of rain<\/a> fell in portions of Central Florida.<\/p>\n

The Seminole County Emergency Management said it is monitoring elevated water levels on the St. Johns River. <\/p>\n

Some portions of Central Florida, especially Brevard and Lake counties, saw excessive rain on Sunday, with Eustis receiving over 19 inches.<\/a><\/p>\n

Another 2-4 inches of rain are possible<\/a> Monday across the region.<\/p>\n

\u201cOut of an abundance of caution, Seminole County has opened the following sandbag sites,\u201d the county said.<\/p>\n

Unstaffed, bring your own shovels<\/p>\n

Sanford Public Works<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a massive cooldown is headed to Central Florida, with wake-up temperatures on Friday expected to dip into the 40s and 50s.<\/p>\n
