The Fraternal Order of Police is endorsing the incumbent in the race.<\/p>\n

The state\u2019s largest police union says it has Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia\u2019s back as he seeks a full term<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Florida Fraternal Order of Police (FOP<\/a>) is endorsing the Spring Hill Republican.<\/p>\n

\u201cBlaise Ingoglia has proven time and again that he stands with the men and women who wear the badge,\u201d said Shawn Dunlap, President of the union.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Florida FOP is proud to stand behind Blaise for his integrity and dedication to prioritizing public safety and ensuring our first responders are protected and respected.\u201d<\/p>\n

The support is consistent. The Florida FOP also praised<\/a> Gov. Ron DeSantis\u2019 decision to appoint Ingoglia to the post in July<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cBlaise Ingoglia has been a consistent and valued ally to Florida\u2019s law enforcement community,\u201d Dunlop said at the time of the former Senator and Representative.<\/p>\n

Ingoglia welcomed the support of officers.<\/p>\n

\u201cDay in and day out, our law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to protect our communities, and they deserve a leader who stands with them \u2014 not just in words, but in action,\u201d Ingoglia said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am incredibly honored to receive the endorsement of the Florida Fraternal Order of Police. As CFO, I will continue to back the blue and fight for the resources of those who protect and serve our communities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ingoglia currently faces Republicans Frank Collige and Benjamin Horbowy in a Republican Primary. The state still lists Joe Gruters as a candidate, but the Senator isn\u2019t expected to run after his election as National Republican Committee Chair<\/a>. No Democrats are currently in the running.<\/p>\n

Ingoglia, a former Republican Party of Florida Chair, currently enjoys a massive fundraising advantage, having raised $1.8 million<\/a> in his first quarter following his appointment as CFO.
