ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. \u2013 The man accused of attacking a good Samaritan on a Central Florida expressway last week has pleaded not guilty to criminal charges, court records show.<\/p>\n
Daniel Coman, 44, was arrested March 30 after he allegedly battered a motorist who thought Coman had been in a car crash and stopped to help him.<\/p>\n

Hans Hamilton suffered a brain bleed and four broken ribs during the attack, he told News 6.<\/p>\n
Video of the violent altercation, which was first published by News 6, was recorded by cameras on the victim\u2019s Tesla.<\/p>\n
Coman is also accused of assaulting and battering an Orange County deputy sheriff while resisting arrest, authorities allege.<\/p>\n
Court records show Coman, who is represented by a public defender, entered a written plea of \u201cnot guilty\u201d Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Coman remained incarcerated at the Orange County jail Wednesday, where he was being held on a $5,000 bond.<\/p>\n

According to an eviction complaint filed in Orange County Circuit Court, Coman was expelled from his Orlando home days before the attack.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlthough you have been temporarily staying elsewhere since approximately March 23, 2026, please be advised that you no longer have permission to reside in this home,\u201d a March 27 email message attached to the eviction stated. \u201cAs the legal homeowner, I am formally requiring that you vacate the premises permanently and remove any personal belongings.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat! Oh my. OK, I guess, you are the boss of your domain,\u201d Coman allegedly replied to the message.<\/p>\n
News 6 attempted to contact the homeowner who filed the eviction complaint, but a woman who answered the phone claimed News 6 had the wrong number and hung up.<\/p>\n
