Participating mayors include:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 John Doctor, Treasure Island<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Anne-Marie Brooks, Madeira Beach<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Karen Love, Gulfport<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 David Will, Redington Beach<\/p>\n<p>This is a free virtual and\/or in-person program from 5:30-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 23. The program will be available virtually via the ISPS website and in person at Treasure Island City Hall, 10451 Gulf Blvd.<\/p>\n<p>The session will be followed by a reception to meet and greet the mayors.<\/p>\n<p>Advance registration is required for in-person attendance. To help residents and business owners get ready, the city of Treasure Island is hosting a Hurricane Expo on Friday, April 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Treasure Island Community Center, 1 Park Place and 106th Avenue.<\/p>\n<p>The event will feature a presentation by Mike Clay, the chief meteorologist at Spectrum Bay News 9.<\/p>\n<p>New this year, local mitigation partners will be available to provide education, information, and resources about storm protection and mitigation for homes, condos, mobile homes, and businesses. See live demonstrations of flood and wind mitigation products.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, city and county staff will discuss storm response plans, evacuation procedures, and how residents and businesses can prepare before a storm hits. Attendees will receive essential safety and survival tips, flood insurance information, Red Cross resources, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Residents are encouraged to visit <a href=\"http:\/\/mytreasureisland.com\/stormready\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">mytreasureisland.com\/stormready<\/a> to sign up for Alert Pinellas, check their evacuation zone, and gather storm preparation materials.<\/p>\n<p>St. Pete Beach Public Library News<\/p>\n<p>ST.
