Last night saw the Cincinnati Reds pull off two late-inning rallies \u2013 one in the 9th and then another in the 10th \u2013 to complete a come-from-behind win in Miami. That win guaranteed a series split against the Marlins. Tonight they\u2019ll look to take the series with another victory and keep their winning streak going. First pitch this evening is scheduled for 6:40pm ET.<\/p>\n

Brady Singer<\/p>\n

In his season opener Brady Singer gave up three runs in just 4.0 innings to Boston in a game that the Reds would win in extra innings. Last time out he allowed just two runs in 5.0 innings against the Rangers.<\/p>\n

In 2025 teams loaded their lineups with left-handed hitters against Singer and it made sense to do so. Left-handed hitters were far more successful against him than righties were. Right-handed hitters showed no power, hit for no average, and didn\u2019t walk much. Lefties had a solid average, a solid walk-rate, and they hit for plenty of power. Last season his ERA was 1.59 runs higher on the road and hitters had a 105 point OPS advantage when away from Great American Ball PArk.<\/p>\n

Eury Perez<\/p>\n

Facing the Rockies in his first start of 2026 he allowed three runs in 7.0 innings and struck out eight with just one walk. Things weren\u2019t the same when he took on the New York Yankees the next time. New York scored four runs in 4.0 innings as he walked six batters and hit another in the outing.<\/p>\n

Last season Perez was significantly better at home where his ERA was 2.93 (5.33 on the road) and hitters had an OPS of just .522 against him. In eight starts, covering 43.0 innings at loanDepot park he gave up just one home run. The platoon splits favor right-handed hitters, but it basically just comes down to them hitting a few extra singles over the course of the year.<\/p>\n

A reversal!<\/p>\n

Last night Matt McLain was charged with an error when he allegedly blocked the bag at second base while covering a stolen base attempt. It was the first and only error the Reds had made on the season. But today that error was reversed and now Cincinnati remains the only team in baseball without an error on the year.<\/p>\n

Best start in 30+ years<\/p>\n

The last time the Reds had a better start through 11 games was 1990. We\u2019re pretty sure something good happened that year.<\/p>\n
