ST. LUCIE COUNTY \u2013 St. Lucie County Commissioners are looking for civic-minded residents to serve on several boards and committees. The county is currently seeking volunteers on the following boards\/committees:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Affordable Housing Advisory Committee<\/p>\n
\u2022 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy Committee<\/p>\n
\u2022 Contractors Licensing Board<\/p>\n
\u2022 One Consumer Representative to represent the interests of the public in contractor-related matters.<\/p>\n
If vacancies occur (due to resignation, death or removal), the appointed member serves the remainder of the unexpired term.<\/p>\n
\u2022 One AC or Mechanical Contractor; Must hold a current and active state-certified or state-registered license in the relevant contracting field. Must hold an active county certificate of competency if holding a state-registered license.<\/p>\n
\u2022 One Plumbing Contractor; Must hold a current and active state-certified or state-registered license in the relevant contracting field; Must hold an active county certificate of competency if holding a state-registered license.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Early Learning Coalition<\/p>\n
\u2022 Emergency Medical Services Advisory Committee<\/p>\n
\u2022 Historical Commission<\/p>\n
\u2022 Housing Finance Authority<\/p>\n
\u2022 Homeless Advisory Committee<\/p>\n
\u2022 One law enforcement representative<\/p>\n
\u2022 One faith-based representative<\/p>\n
\u2022 One person with lived experience<\/p>\n
\u2022 Investment Committee<\/p>\n
\u2022 Library Advisory Board<\/p>\n
\u2022 Treasure Coast Education Research and Development Authority<\/p>\n
Some boards\/committees may require specific qualifications or prior experience, but for all boards\/committees, the minimum requirements are:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Must be a St. Lucie County resident;<\/p>\n
\u2022 Must not be related to another committee member, County Commissioner or county employee involved with the committee of interest;<\/p>\n
\u2022 Must not be employed by the same business entity as other committee members;<\/p>\n
\u2022 Must not serve on more than two county committees (does not apply to Ad Hoc Committees).<\/p>\n
Applications are due no later than Friday, Oct. 31 at 5 p.m. to be considered for any available vacancies.<\/p>\n
Financial disclosure is required for some boards and committees.<\/p>\n
