Want to play a role in keeping the Cape Coral clean?

The city is hosting its annual Cape Coral Clean Up event on April 22 as part of Earth Day, where residents can lend a hand in the beautification.

The clean-up event runs all day, as residents can cover whichever area of the city they reside in and make a difference in their neighborhood.

“Participating in the annual Cape Coral Clean-Up is a hands-on way to celebrate Earth Day and make a visible difference in our community,” said city spokesperson Kaitlyn Mullen. “Every piece of litter picked up helps protect local wildlife, waterways, and neighborhoods, keeping Cape Coral a vibrant place to live and visit.”

The clean-up is open to residents from every corner of Cape Coral, no matter where you live.

“This is truly a citywide event, as everyone’s efforts add up,” Mullen added. “While all areas benefit from some sprucing up, volunteers are especially encouraged to focus on areas near canals and major roadways.”
