This isn\u2019t just a quick fix, either. From what we\u2019re seeing on The Weather Authority\u2019s Exact Track 4D, it\u2019ll take a lot more than a handful of rainy afternoons to make up for our rainfall deficit. <\/p>\n
It\u2019s going to take significant rain events over time before we chip away at this drought.<\/p>\n
With the drought sticking around, fire and smoke risks are high. <\/p>\n
That means outdoor burning just isn\u2019t safe right now, and the National Weather Service is advising you to water those lawns only once a week to help conserve what resources we have.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the good news\u2014Mother Nature decided it was time to roll out the sunshine! We\u2019re looking at a warm, bright weekend across Jacksonville, so get ready to soak it in.<\/p>\n
Today, winds are breezy along the coast\u2014think Mayport at around 17 mph, a little lower in places like St. Augustine and the airport. These winds aren\u2019t as intense as yesterday, which is a relief for anyone heading out.<\/p>\n
A couple of light showers might blow in off the Atlantic, but they\u2019ll be quick and shouldn\u2019t cause any real problems. So far, we\u2019ve spotted them near Fernandina Beach and Callahan, but nothing major has popped up.<\/p>\n
No fog trouble this morning! Temperatures are comfy\u201440s up in Georgia, 50s in Macclenny and Lake City, and 60s across most other areas.<\/p>\n
