Guests stroll through this inviting space, eagerly anticipating their stay at the newly constructed lakeside retreat.\" class=\"wp-image-1191743\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wdwnt.com\/2018\/11\/breaking-new-bay-lake-resort-to-be-named-reflections-a-disney-lakeside-resort\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" aria-describedby=\"external-link-warning\">First announced in 2018<\/a>, the resort was originally going to be called Reflections \u2013\u00a0A Disney Lakeside Lodge, but plans were stalled during the COVID-19 pandemic. Years later, after the <a href=\"https:\/\/wdwnt.com\/2020\/06\/rumor-reflections-a-disney-lakeside-lodge-construction-stalled-project-reportedly-cancelled\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" aria-describedby=\"external-link-warning\">resort was thought to be canceled<\/a>, Disney began filing permits.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Disney Vacation Club\u00a0resort was then <a href=\"https:\/\/wdwnt.com\/2024\/11\/disney-lakeshore-lodge-replacing-reflections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" aria-describedby=\"external-link-warning\">officially announced in 2024<\/a> with a new name, Lakeshore Lodge.
