After February\u2019s emergency suspension order from Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo, the Florida Department of Health filed an administrative complaint to start the process toward further disciplinary action.<\/p>\n<p>Palumbo didn\u2019t respond to a phone message and email from the Miami Herald. Publix didn\u2019t respond to an email asking Palumbo\u2019s employment status. Broward County online court records show no criminal charges filed.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/news\/health-care\/article258944518.html\">READ MORE: A Miami doctor\u2019s license is suspended after charges involving Publix and stolen drugs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to the complaint, from Jan. 9, 2025, through Aug. 13, 2025, while working at a Coral Springs Publix, Palumbo \u201caltered legitimate oxycodone prescriptions\u201d for one customer. He did the same in April and May 2025 with a Percocet prescription for another customer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBetween the approximate dates of Jan. 9, 2025, and Aug. 13, 2025, [Palumbo] obtained possession of Percocet and\/or oxycodone from his employer through misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception, and\/or subterfuge on one or more occasion,\u201d the complaint said.<\/p>\n<p>                <a href=\"https:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/profile\/218644265\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n                        <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"author-thumb\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1775861471_17_695 Miami Herald sig 072115 Cropped.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"400\" alt=\"Profile Image of David J.
