The Tortuga Music Festival, three straight days of performances by “country, rock and roots”<\/a> artists, is likely to cause traffic delays in parts of Fort Lauderdale this weekend.<\/p>\n

The festival will last from April 10 to April 12, restricting public access to a portion of Fort Lauderdale Beach that’s designated exclusively for the event, according to a traffic advisory<\/a> posted by the city of Fort Lauderdale on April 7.<\/p>\n

The festival\u2019s website<\/a> lists its exact address as 1100 Seabreeze Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. There is no designated event parking, reads the advisory, and anyone attending is encouraged to either use the city\u2019s Water Taxi service or a rideshare to get to and from the festival.<\/p>\n

Designated pickup areas for rideshare drivers include Las Olas Oceanside Park and the Harbor Drive loop.<\/p>\n

Which roads will the Tortuga Music Festival cause delays on?<\/p>\n

The city’s traffic advisory states that drivers should “expect delays on all barrier island roadways,\u201d but especially A1A and Seabreeze Boulevard.<\/p>\n

Motorists travelling on Southeast 17th Street and Las Olas Boulevard should also expect to encounter traffic.<\/p>\n

Will there be road closures near the Tortuga Music Festival?<\/p>\n

There will be a road closure each night of the festival, according to the traffic advisory issued by Fort Lauderdale, with both northbound and southbound traffic from Harbor Drive to S.E. 5th Street blocked off from 9:15 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The intention is to allow crowds leaving the event to exit safely.<\/p>\n
