(CBS12) \u2014 Law enforcement is on the ground in Jensen Beach Saturday morning as deputies track a suspect who robbed a Chase Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies with the Martin County Sheriff&#8217;s Office and detectives swarmed the scene shortly after 9:00 a.m. following reports of a robbery at the branch.<\/p>\n<p> According to investigators, the suspect entered the bank and demanded cash from employees.<\/p>\n<p>While deputies say the man did not brandish a weapon, he repeatedly reached for his waistband during the encounter, leading tellers to believe he was armed. <\/p>\n<p>See also: <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/news\/local\/florida-deputies-respond-to-apartment-fire-explosion-residents-evacuated-hillsborough-county-sheriffs-office-florida-news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Explosion reports lead deputies to massive fire at Florida apartment complex<\/a><\/p>\n<p>After securing an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect reportedly fled the building.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect is described as a Black male with a medium build, last seen wearing a black shirt with white lettering, long jean shorts, black Nike sneakers with a white logo, a red baseball cap with a white &#8220;P,&#8221; and sunglasses. <\/p>\n<p>He fled the area in a black Jeep Compass or similar black SUV, traveling southbound on Federal Highway.<\/p>\n<p>CBS12 News will continue to provide updates as this story develops.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"JENSEN BEACH, Fla.
