Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Fork<\/a>). They never let the Port St. Lucie Jaguars<\/a> get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Friday. The Bulldogs haven’t had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.<\/p>\n Miguel Ferry<\/a> looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. South Fork is 5-2 when Ferry allows one or fewer earned runs, but 5-11 otherwise.<\/p>\n On the hitting side, South Fork got a big performance out of Luke Wonders<\/a>, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Wonders a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Vining<\/a>, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.<\/p>\n South Fork hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Port St. Lucie struck out ten times.<\/p>\n South Fork’s victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Port St. Lucie, they have been struggling recently as they’ve lost ten of their last 11 contests. That’s put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.<\/p>\n We’ve got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. South Fork is set to face off against their familiar foe Westwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Port St. Lucie will square off against rival Sebastian River at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
