The Miami Dolphins have seemingly been looking to upgrade their offensive line for a number of years now. They have quality starters in left tackle Patrick Paul and center Aaron Brewer, but with left guard Jonah Savaiinaea struggling mightily as a rookie, right tackle Austin Jackson on the shelf nearly as much as he\u2019s on the field, and a blinking neon question mark at right guard, the team still has plenty of work to do regarding the big men up front.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s where new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan comes in. Sullivan\u2019s former team, the Green Bay Packers, have always found a way to find versatile linemen at all levels of the NFL Draft.<\/p>\n
According to Jordan Reid of ESPN, Sullivan could be looking to do the same for the Dolphins with their first selection in the 2026 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n
Over the weekend, Reid reported that the Dolphins are \u201cbig fans\u201d of Utah lineman Spencer Fano and would have no problem with taking him at #11 come April 23rd \u2014 that is, if he\u2019s still available.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe team loves his versatility, believing [Fano] can play any interior spot or be a plug-and-play starter at right tackle. Austin Jackson is entering a contract year, and there are a lot of question marks surrounding his durability. New front offices have leaned on selecting an offensive lineman to start their tenure, so this pairing makes a lot of sense.\u201d<\/p>\n
If Fano is the pick, the 6\u20195 1\/2\u201d, 311 lb athletic specimen would likely begin his career in Miami as the team\u2019s starting right guard before transitioning to the right tackle spot once the Dolphins decide to move on from Jackson.
