By Se\u00e1n Kinane. Sept. 2009.<\/p>\n<p>The City of Tampa\u2019s first Earth Fair will take place on Sunday, April 19. The event will feature hands-on activities, educational sessions and demonstrations, interactive art installations, live music, food trucks, and giveaways of plants, trees, and compost\u2014plus much more.<\/p>\n<p>According to a press release from the City of Tampa, here are the included activities:<\/p>\n<p>Explore dozens of interactive booths throughout the Eco Village and Garden Grove<br \/>\nAttend educational sessions hosted in the Hunt Center<br \/>\nJoin guided nature walks and tours of the Florida-Friendly Learning Garden<br \/>\nExperience holistic wellness activities, including yoga and sound bowl sessions in the park<br \/>\nTake part in the Mayor\u2019s Tree Giveaway, along with plant and compost distribution<br \/>\nEnjoy family-friendly arts, entertainment, and cultural activities<br \/>\nGrab a bite from food and beverage trucks, and more<\/p>\n<p>This event will take place on April 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 4810 N. Himes Avenue. There will also be every-hour nature walks (10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:00 p.m.) and every 30 minutes, educational sessions and Florida-friendly landscaping tours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa.
