The honor recognizes a station\u2019s overall news excellence, community outreach, and journalistic impact, placing WESH 2 as the year\u2019s top-performing television news organization in the state.The station was also recognized with the Community Service award for the fourth consecutive year, highlighting its sustained commitment to serving and strengthening Central Florida. In addition to the top honors, WESH 2 earned awards for Best Newscast, Weathercaster, and multiple categories of reporting.\u201cThese honors are incredibly meaningful to our entire team,\u201d said John Soapes, president and general manager of WESH 2 and CW18. \u201cBeing named Station of the Year and recognized for Community Service reflect our mission to be Central Florida\u2019s source for trusted news and information and to do our part to improve the communities we serve.
