{"id":230466,"date":"2026-04-13T23:48:23","date_gmt":"2026-04-13T23:48:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/230466\/"},"modified":"2026-04-13T23:48:23","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T23:48:23","slug":"miami-police-search-for-shooter-after-23-year-old-killed-2-injured-victims-stable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/230466\/","title":{"rendered":"Miami police search for shooter after 23-year-old killed, 2 injured; victims stable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Miami Police Chief Manny Morales said investigators are searching for a single shooter in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/news\/taste-of-miami-karnival-little-haiti-incident-injuries-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">a deadly incident<\/a> that left one man dead and two others injured.<\/p>\n<p>The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Cyrille Kitchner.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Morales said the two surviving victims are in stable condition at Ryder Trauma Center.<\/p>\n<p>Police are reviewing surveillance video and have identified a person of interest, but Morales said investigators have not yet determined a motive.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This was a personal incident and not related to the festival,&#8221; Morales said.<\/p>\n<p>He also appealed to the public for help.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We do have some evidence and a person of interest, but I am not ready to divulge that at this point,&#8221; Morales said. &#8220;I know a lot of folks were out there, and if you saw anything, please contact the Miami Police Department.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Morales emphasized that even the smallest detail could be critical to the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Life is precious, and we strongly believe in the sanctity of life,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information is urged to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).<\/p>\n<p>Miami City Commissioner Christine King, a co-sponsor of the event, said she was &#8220;heartbroken&#8221; by the violence.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This was a wonderful event.
