{"id":230710,"date":"2026-04-14T03:53:42","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T03:53:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/230710\/"},"modified":"2026-04-14T03:53:42","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T03:53:42","slug":"man-arrested-in-minnesota-for-bomb-threat-to-tampa-assisted-living-facility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/230710\/","title":{"rendered":"Man arrested in Minnesota for bomb threat to Tampa assisted living facility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TAMPA, Fla. \u2014 The Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s Office (HCSO) said a man accused of making a bomb threat to a Tampa assisted living facility was arrested in Minnesota.<\/p>\n<p>HCSO said on April 7, The Colonnade at Carrollwood received a phone call from an individual who stated there was a bomb inside the building before hanging up.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies conducted a search of the facility and no explosives or threats were located, per the report.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives identified the caller as 33-year-old Alexander Lufriu, who deputies said previously lived in Hillsborough County and is now connected to Scott County, Minnesota.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies said Lufriu was arrested in Scott County, Minnesota, by the Prior Lake Police Department on April 8.<\/p>\n<p>HCSO said Lufriu is charged with falsely reporting a bomb, explosive, or weapon of mass destruction and unlawfully using a two-way communication device.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation remains active.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/BARRETT.TRYON.png\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Missing St. Petersburg boater found dead in channel south of Maximo Park: PCSO<\/p>\n<p>The Pinellas County Sheriff\u2019s Office (PCSO) said Tony Le was boating with his family near channel marker 18 when he fell into the water.
