TAMPA, Fla. \u2013 The Association for Cleaning and Facility Solutions (ISSA) just released its list of winners for the second annual Spotless Spaces Competition<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As the name suggests, the contest highlights areas \u201cthat go above and beyond to create safe, healthy and accessible environments.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a release, ISSA officials said that the competition recognized excellence in the following three categories:<\/p>\n

Tork Think Ahead Facility Excellence Winner \u2014 American Museum of Natural History (New York City, NY)<\/p>\n

International Spotless Space of the Year Winner \u2014 Quito Metro Stations (Quito, Ecuador)<\/p>\n

U.S. Spotless Space of the Year Winner \u2014 Tampa Bay International Airport (Tampa, FL)<\/p>\n

An ISSA representative told News 6 that the Tampa airport received its recognition thanks to its exceptionally clean, healthy environments for both travelers and airport workers.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor a region that continues to see strong tourism growth and record passenger traffic, this recognition underscores Tampa International\u2019s role not just as a gateway \u2014 but as a leader in redefining what safe, well-maintained public infrastructure looks like in a post-pandemic world.<\/p>\n

This is more than an aviation story \u2014 it\u2019s about public health, workforce safety, and the evolving expectations of millions of travelers passing through Tampa Bay each year.”<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the first time that the airport has been recognized for its cleanliness, though.<\/p>\n

Back in 2022, the airport also won Cintas\u2019 \u201cAmerica\u2019s Best Restroom Award<\/a>,\u201d thanks in large part to its \u201cfreshly cleaned aesthetic\u201d and \u201cresort-like feel.\u201d<\/p>\n
