The city of Sanibel is seeking a representative to participate in Lee County\u2019s Program for Public Information (PPI) under the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The role will help residents understand flood risks, promote flood insurance awareness and support local outreach initiatives.<\/p>\n
Key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
\u2013 Assessing public information needs and identifying key target audiences<\/p>\n
\u2013 Developing messaging related to flood hazard and mitigation strategies<\/p>\n
\u2013 Coordinating outreach projects to deliver messaging<\/p>\n
\u2013 Preparing and maintaining the PPI<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\u2013 Strong communication and community engagement skills<\/p>\n
\u2013 Familiarity with floodplain management or emergency management is preferred<\/p>\n
\u2013 Ability to work collaboratively with government agencies and local stakeholders<\/p>\n
