(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.mysuncoast.com\/\">WWSB<\/a>) &#8211; The Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s Office has arrested a man for four counts of attempted murder after he allegedly shot at a boat on a lake.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">On April 13, at 8:07 p.m., deputies say four people were on a boat fishing on Lake Wimauma when Leo Palacios, 60, began shouting at them before going into his house and getting a firearm. He fired multiple times toward the boat, but missed. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">One of the victims recognized Palacios, and deputies located the suspect at his home. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Palacios was arrested and faces several charges:<\/p>\n<p>Felon in possession of a firearmAggravated battery with a deadly weapon with firearm discharge (four counts)Second-degree attempted murder degree with firearm discharge (four counts)Discharge firearm in public or on residential property<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">This remains an active investigation. <\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2026 WWSB.
