TAMPA, FL \u2014 A Minnesota man was arrested earlier this month for making a bomb threat to an assisted living facility in the Carrollwood area, the Hillsborough County Sheriff\u2019s Office said in a news release. <\/p>\n
The Colonnade at Carrollwood, located at 13550 S. Village Drive in Tampa, received an April 7 phone call from a person who said there was a bomb in the building before hanging up, the sheriff\u2019s office said. <\/p>\n
No explosives or other threats were found when deputies responded to the facility and searched it.<\/p>\n
Investigators identified the caller as Alexander Lufriu, 33, who previously lived in Hillsborough County and now lives in Scott County, Minnesota, HCSO said. <\/p>\n
The Prior Lake Police Department found Lufriu and confirmed that his phone number was associated with the call. <\/p>\n
Prior Lake police arrested him on April 8. <\/p>\n
Lufriu was charged with false report of a bomb, explosive or weapon of mass destruction and unlawful use of a two-way communications device.<\/p>\n
\u201cThreatening lives and causing panic in our community is unacceptable,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said. \u201cWe will track you down, no matter where you are, and hold you accountable.” <\/p>\n
