HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) \u2014 A man is accused of making a bomb threat to an assisted living facility in Florida.<\/p>\n

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office<\/a> said that deputies responded to the Colonnade at Carrollwood, at 13550 S. Village Drive, on April 7 after staff reported receiving a threatening phone call. Investigators said the caller claimed there was a bomb inside the building before abruptly hanging up.<\/p>\n

When deputies arrived at the scene, they conducted a thorough search of the facility but did not locate any explosives or additional threats. No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

Following the incident, detectives were able to identify the caller as Alexander Lufriu, 33, who previously lived in Hillsborough County<\/a> and now has ties to Scott County, Minnesota. Investigators determined the phone number used to make the threat was associated with Lufriu.<\/p>\n

With assistance from the Prior Lake Police Department, authorities located Lufriu in Minnesota. He was arrested on April 8 in Scott County.<\/p>\n

Lufriu is facing charges that include making a false report of a bomb, explosive, or weapon of mass destruction, as well as unlawful use of a two-way communications device.
