{"id":231996,"date":"2026-04-14T23:55:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T23:55:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/231996\/"},"modified":"2026-04-14T23:55:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T23:55:08","slug":"elections-held-in-west-miami-bay-harbor-islands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/231996\/","title":{"rendered":"Elections held in West Miami, Bay Harbor Islands"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text text--small text--normal text--primary\">Published:\u00a0April 14, 2026 at 7:35 PM<\/p>\n<p>West Miami voters re-elect incumbent mayor Eric Diaz-Padronlead-art-block.fullscreen-enterExpand<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"eager\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-fl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/T5BSRAUCTBBCHN6ALTJG5DP77U.jpg\"  width=\"1280\" height=\"720\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla.  \u2014 A couple of elections were held in two Miami-Dade County municipalities on Tuesday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In West Miami, voters cast their ballots for mayor and several city commission seats. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The mayoral race saw incumbent Eric Diaz-Padron face off against longtime former city manager Yolanda Aguilar. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Ultimately, Diaz-Padron won with 70.85% of the ballots cast. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The race for Commission Seat 1 went to Gustavo \u201cGus\u201d Ceballos, who defeated George A. Lavin with 74.62% of the vote. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Seat 2\u2019s election went to Juan M. Blanes with 71.46% of the vote. He defeated Fermin J.
